Bible Shopping Tips?
1. Not all Bibles are Catholic! The word of God is the word of God, however some translations i.e. King James, NIV,etc. may not have ALL the books that are included in the Catholic bible.
2. Just like you wouldn't walk in to the library and start reading every book on the shelf in order so to with the Bible. Scripture was not intented to be read from the begining to end in order. So where do you start? Look up the daily readings or your favorite passage and go from them.
3. Choose a Bible for your purpose. In other words, if you are taking classes you may want a student edition, if you are a novice try a contemporary "Teen" version. Some translated versions are college levels while other Sacred Text is translated in a simple sumation. Again what you choose should be based on your purpose and comfort level.
Or you can visit the BibleGateway click on the Bible above and be sure you type in New American Standard Bible
